That night, feeling restored and charged with hope, I slept undisturbed until the rainstorm woke me on Saturday morning.
Refreshed, Chastity and I left for home.
DOWN INTO THE GLEN
I arrived late morning at beautiful Fox Glen. It was so good to be back! We passed some idle hours enjoying each other's company, then Ron & Elise began preparing a totally scrumptious meal (although it lacked potatoes) ;-D Rebecca Peffer and the faery-like Iris joined us for a celebratory dinner. The conversation was lively and I don't remember laughing as hard in a very long time indeed.
During my earlier stay, I'd been introduced to Glenna. I was able to spend more time with her this trip. Glenna is a seven week old orphan fox kit that Elise, Ron and the furry family members are raising. She is an amazing creature. More cat than canine, very quick and agile, very alert. The Fox Glen crew are conscientious in their socialization of Glenna with people, dogs and a cat, and with the gentle training and care of the little red fluff ball. Glenna took some highly prized pieces of duck stick from my hand and allowed me to pet her, and even sat in my lap. What a wonder that was! I am quite sure she is already the princess of Fox Glen!

Foxes greet you everywhere at Fox Glen. Can you see the fox in this picture?
I do think there is a new passion at Fox Glen, though. See the photo below. <G>
